INGREDIENTS

  • 3 organic chicken breasts, cut 1 1/2-inch
  • 3 cups of broccoli, steamed

teriyaki sauce

  • 1/4 cup low-sodium (or liquid amino) soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons of coconut sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon of ginger (fresh or dried grated)
  • 2 teaspoons of corn flour
  • 2 cloves of garlic, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame * optional

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Beat all teriyaki sauce ingredients in a small bowl.
  2. Over medium heat in a brown chicken skillet in oil pan until cooked on all sides and slightly crispy. * If the pan isn't hot enough the chicken will steam, so make sure the pan is hot but doesn't burn. *
  3. Add teriyaki sauce to the cooked chicken and stir for 1 to 2 minutes to thicken the sauce.
  4. Stir the broccoli with chicken and sauce. Serve on rice with a sprinkling of sesame seeds.
